Welcome to the Fifth grade technology class! During the year, fifth graders will further develop their typing skills. They will create assignments through Google apps (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Furthermore, they will practice coding through online programming classes to help them with problem solving skills.
First Nine Weeks (August – October)
Students will practice and review different technological terms. They will develop typing and word processing skills.
Second Nine Weeks (October - December)
Fifth graders will continue to develop their typing and word processing skills. They will work with word documents and slide presentations.
Third Nine Weeks (January – March)
Students will developing their homerow and typing skills. They will begin to work on computer programming.
Fourth Nine Weeks (March – May)
Students will continue to work on their typing skills and create assignments in word processing and slides.
