Welcome to the Fourth grade technology class! During the year, fourth graders will focus on typing skills development, using word processing programs to produce written assignments (to help practice for STAAR), create presentations on what they have been learning, and learn computer programming.
First Nine Weeks (August – October)
Fourth graders will get a review course on technologies. They will begin on typing skills development.
Second Nine Weeks (October – December)
Students will continue to develop their typing skills. They will begin working on word processing and type different genres (informative, narrative, expository, ect).
Third Nine Weeks (January - March)
Fourth graders will continue to develop their typing and word processing skills. They will learn how to use presentation programs, and computer programming.
Fourth Nine Weeks (March – May)
Students will further develop their typing, word processing, and presentation skills. They will further their understanding of computer programming.
