Welcome to the Second grade technology class! During the year second graders will learn typing skills and apply their skills to word processing. They will used Google apps and Microsoft Office products to create assignments and presentations. Second graders will also begin computer programming.
First Nine Weeks (August – October)
Second grade students will focus on typing skills development. They will review technical terminology
Second Nine Weeks (October – December)
During the second nine weeks, students will further develop their typing skills. They will begin working on word processing and presentation skills. Digital Citizenship will be introduced.
Third Nine Weeks (January – March)
Second graders will continue learning about digital citizenship. They will focus on beginning research skills and continue working on word processing.
Fourth Nine Weeks (March – May)
Lessons will focus on typing skills development, as well as word processing and presentations. They will be introduced to computer programming through code.org
